iQ software version 3.0 Beta 3 + 2.10 Stable release


Two versions of iQ technology system software have been released. On the Beta channel, iQ 3.0 Beta 3 is now available. On the Stable channel, version 2.10 is also now available. Both versions are available for SMART Board interactive displays for Education and Business. Both releases are available as over-the-air (OTA) updates, while the 2.10 Stable release is also available for download from the SMART Support website. 

What’s new under iQ 2.10 (Stable channel) 
Notebook Player (Education only) 
  • Class Panel 
  • Similar functionality to SMART Learning Suite Online – ability to send content, activities and assessments directly to multiple student devices. Students would join a class session via hellosmart.com. 
  • Ability to add new pages to lesson content. 
What’s new for iQ 3.0 Beta 3 
Wallpaper Customization 
  • 8 new wallpaper backgrounds available 
  • Ability to customize your own background image via USB thumbdrive.  
  • Simply visit Settings[Symbol]Wallpaper 
  • Insert USB thumb drive into AM30/AM40 USB-A slot 
  • Select wallpaper from the gallery. This will be saved to the AM30/AM40 appliance. 
Notebook Player (for Education only) 
  • Improved panning performance on the 3x3 multi-directional canvas 
  • Edits to Notebook files opened from USB thumbdrive will automatically save back to USB.

To set your SMART Board AM30/40 to the Beta channel, follow these steps: 
  1. Go to Settings in iQ by selecting the gear icon 
  1. Select Auto Update 
  1. Select Updates Channel, choose Beta Channel and select OK  
  1. To provide feedback and suggestions for iQ 3.0 through SMART's Customer Feedback Program
Notes: 
  • iQ 3.0 Beta 3 can be run on any AM30/AM40 appliance on any SMART Board® 6000, 7000, 6000 Pro and 7000 Pro series interactive display. This is only available under the Beta channel and will not conflict with version 2.10 that is currently running on the Stable channel.  
  • All iQ 3.0 Beta releases will be automatically pushed out to AM30/AM40 appliances over-the-air (OTA), as long as your appliances are already set to the Beta channel, are connected to a network, and have been left unused for 4 hours. These Beta releases will not impact your AM30/AM40 appliances if they are set to the Stable channel.
